Prior to joining the Barbizon team, Jim finished up his graduate studies at Illinois State University, receiving his MFA in lighting and scenic design in 1998. Immediately upon graduation, Jim packed up and moved to Dallas, TX where he worked as Technical Director at the University of Texas at Arlington.
With nearly four years of experience with the Barbizon Light of Texas office, Jim's duties include project management and field coordination of system installations. Currently a certified Contract Field Technician for ETC, Jim spends most of his time commissioning systems and assisting end users to use their new equipment to its fullest capacity.
Outside of Barbizon, Jim spends countless volunteer hours with various arts organizations in Dallas helping to promote the artistic community.
