Ms. Magee, who joined Barbizon Charlotte as Service Technician in 2000, has over 25 years of professional experience as a lighting designer, master electrician and stage manager. After graduating from North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in Design and Production, she was employed by a variety of companies including Atlanta Ballet, Dallas Theatre Center, Long Wharf Theatre, Montclair State, and SUNY Purchase. Lisa then worked several years as an entertainment technician for Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino, which led to 11 years of off and on touring with vocalist Donna Summer as production stage manager.
Locally, Ms. Magee has designed lighting for NC Dance Theatre, Charlotte Repertory Theatre, Charlotte Children's Theatre, and Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. She also filled the position of master electrician for Opera Carolina for 15 seasons. Lisa has been a full member of I.A.T.S.E. 322 since 1992.
