New control and fixture options were on hand for NAB 2018 in the ETC booth. For fixtures, ETC's ColorSource Pearl is the newest array for our ColorSource® line of fixtures. Available for the Linear, PAR, and Spot, Pearl is a variable, white-light option that can be tuned to output white light anywhere between 2700K and 6500K. The Pearl array includes the same great feature set and high-quality construction as its full-color siblings including an impressively bright output, a simple user interface, and a price point that is tough to beat. Designed for installations that depend heavily on white light such as studios, houses of worship, and architectural installations, this array features flicker-free operation and an impressively smooth dimming curve. ColorSource Pearl includes the recently-announced LED fixture warranty. With a five-year warranty on the fixture and an unmatched ten-year warranty on the LED array, these fixtures are definitely built to last. Also shown for the first time from the Irideon® line of architectural fixtures, the WLZ or, Wash Light Zoom fixture, is no exception. This feature-rich design is ideal for museums, lobbies, and retail environments. Similar to the other fixtures in the Irideon family, the WLZ is available in a wide variety of color temperatures ranging from 3000 K to 5000 K, and several mounting variations; DataTrack, portable with c-clamp, canopy, and special request baby pin. This fixture is ideal for low ceiling applications or in spaces with drop ceilings where a small, powerful, yet agile lighting option is needed. The most innovative feature of the WLZ is the built-in rotating zoom adjustment at the rear of the fixture housing. This enables beam angle adjustment within an impressive range of 9-78 degrees. The zoom position markers on the fixture make fixture-to-fixture referencing quick and easy. The Irideon WLZ now also comes with ETC’s updated fixture warranty of five years for the fixture and 10 years for the LEDs. Shipping of the Irideon WLZ will begin in May. ETC's new acquisitionHigh End also was on display in the booth and can be seen in the accompanying High End Post in this report. Part of the Group One stand, Elekralite has some neat new things at LDI this year. Stingray Profile- Not new to Elektralite but worth a mentioning. With a 300w COB LED and balanced 3200k color temperature it really packs a punch yet maintains a 95CRI. Elektralite is using a proprietary diffraction lens system to really punch up the brightness. Interchangeable 19°, 26°, 36°, or 50° lens tubes offer multiple beam spreads to find just the beam size you need. It also comes with 4 shutters giving you clean cuts, and dual slots on the front of the fixture to use color and diffusion at the same time. Power in and out is provided via PowerCON . There is a simple to use onboard DMX interface with 5 pin DMX in and out. Stingray 7-Color- The Stingray 7-color offers all of the same features as the Stingray Profile but has 7 colors and is liquid cooled for quite operation. Available lenses for this fixture are 5°, 10°, 25°, 36°, and 50°. The both the Stingray and Stingray 7-Color use a B size gobo holder. The same powerCon in and out with 4 shutters and gel frame are included. The Stingray Mini will not begin shipping until sometime in December 2017. It brings a nice clean warm white light to your smaller applications. With a 20w COB 3200k it provides the same rich white that the Stingray does, only smaller and not as bright. It is using the same proprietary diffraction lens system to help this tiny fixture pack a punch. Like it’s big brother the Stingray Mini ships with a 19° lens but they are interchangeable with 26°, 36°, or 50° lens tubes available. SLA Retina- This new fixture was designed to be a “S”how “L”ighting “A”ccent. This fixture is also IP65 rated for outdoor use to go in planters and holiday displays or even rooftops. The 5” hexagon can fit in many small locations. The cable for this fixture is IP68, we all know that cable can end up in a puddle. The cable is UV-stabilized to hold up in harsh sun of the coast, or the high altitude intensity. The SLA Retina ships with two yoke arms, the height of each is adjustable for maximum flexibility. This is a pretty darn bright fixture can be used for accent lighting in multiple applications. Three 15w CREE RGBW LED’s deliver 1,400 lumens with a 25° beam spread. Dazer Downlight – The Popular Elektralite Dazer is now available in an architectural form for more permanent installation applications. It is available in 3400k and RGBA. The body is also available in customer colors. There are 36- 5 watt LED’s available in beam spreads of 15°, 25°, 40°, and 60°. These optics are factory installed to allow for quick installation in the field. The fixture ships with a yoke to allow for easy adjustment for sloped ceilings, the yoke can be attaché to ¾” fan rod for installation, allowing for a place to run cables. There is also a mount for a safety cable for a second point of safety. Fresnel – Elektralite is coming out with an LED Fresnel. There is a 300w COB LED for 3200k or 5600k with a CRI of 94. The 15°-50° zoom is manually operated, but the 100 step dimming through DMX is completely smooth. Power in and out is provided by powerCon connectors and data by 5 pin XLR. This fixture is so new there is not picture yet available to show you. http://myelektralite.com/

Westcott new product was the Solix LED. The light is a single head LED unit that measures at 5600k daylight. It offers a dimmable dial on the backside of the unit and with a low 60w draw; it allows you to use their Flex LED battery. The unique feature about the Solix is the fact that you can mount barn doors using the magnetic system for easy on and off control. Finally built into the Solix they have integrated a speed ring so that you can put on any standard soft box all the way up to a 7-foot Octobank. The ring allows you to rotate the box without removing the box from the unit. Westcott’s “biggest” announcement at NAB 2017 was the new RGB-W Flex unit. The unit allows you access full visible color spectrum from their flexible LED mat. On top of this announcement, they also announce their new Westcott Pro dimmer and standard dimmer. The pro dimmer allows you to control the Flex mat wirelessly and also with DMX options. The dimmers are now constructed of aluminum instead of plastic. An Integrated Anton Bauer or V-lock mounts make powering the light with a battery much easier. Westcott has partnered up with Innovative Dimmers to create the new dimmers. The RGB-w mats are available in 1x1 and 1x2 sizes. Don't get too excited, because Westcott says it probably won't be shipping until Q3 later this year. Here's a vid of it from NewsShooter.com
With the Matrix light, Fiilex brings its LED expertise into the realm of panel lighting. The Matrix leverages Fiilex's Dense-Matrix technology by fusing multiple sources into a single panel-style fixture. The result combines the broad, diffuse throw of a panel with the power and controllability of a point source. Engineered with modularity in mind, the 1500W-equivalent Matrix works excellently on its own or grouped in an array of multiple lights. The Matrix is built to easily accommodate various light-shaping accessories. To further soften its output, there's the specially-designed Matrix Softbox. This unique softbox does away with the speed ring by attaching directly to the Matrix fixture via rod mounts. Alternatively, users looking for a greater punch can focus in the light with the Matrix Fresnel Lens, which clips simply into place, tripling intensity. The Matrix also features Fiilex's professional-grade tuning options, which include full dimmability, color tunability from 2800 to 6500K, and hue control. With the Matrix, Fiilex users can complement their single source Q and P series lights with the gorgeous, broad throw of a uniquely versatile top-tier panel fixture. http://fiilex.com
Fiilexreleasedtheirnew P360 Pro and P360 Pro Plus portable LED lights at the NAB show this year. Fiilex has upgraded both fixtures, both include a swanky new OLED display to show precise CCT, hue (for Pro Plus), intensity, and DMX levels. They've also made some physical improvements to include a longer yoke, accessory lock, and deeper spigot. P360 Pro is the next-generation version of Fiilex's flagship portable LED light. This 400W-equivalent fixture takes everything that made the original P360 great and brings it to the next level. The CCT range has been expanded (2800-6500K) and dimming now runs from 0-100%. The Pro maintains top-tier CRI (>93) at any setting. Weighing under two pounds, the weather-resistant (IP-24) P360 Pro and Pro Plus are designed for travel, but it can also be easily integrated into DMX setups with its onboard DMX functionality.
