This year high output LED manufacturer AadynTech will be releasing a panel version of their popular JAB and PUNCH fixtures. The Quad JAB and PUNCH will be available in both daylight as well as variable white versions. The variable version will have an adjustable color temperature range of 2950°Kto 5750°K. The Quad JAB draws 20 amps and displays 120,000 lumens with its big brother the Quad Punch pulling 30amps at an impressive 285,000 lumens. Both fixtures will have a CRI rating of 95+ with on board as well as wired control options. AadynTech expects both fixtures to be ready to ship by early summer of this year. https://www.sturdycorp.com/led-lighting
AAdyntech has expanded its line of fixtures with the new Punch and JAB Quad panels. At 278,000 Lumens (wow!), the Punch Quad has a 36” x 24” aperture. It has the equivalent output of four of its popular Punch fixture and is IP65 rated, all in a single soft panel configuration. The JAB Quad is a smaller version with a 24” x 18” aperture. Both fixtures have variable white color temperature control from 2800K to 6000K with Plus/Minus green correction. They are also RDM and wired and wireless DMX capable. These fixtures are excellent for slow-motion photography as they are flicker-free up to 260,000 fps along with dimming. You can power them with 100/277VAC-50/60HZ. These fit a wide range of production needs and are very well built. They dominate the sports lighting category for interviews and outdoor weather temporary set-ups and compete with HMIs with one-tenth the power required.
AC Lighting was awarded the 2019 NAB Product of the Year for their new Space Force onebytwo™, a cost-effective, bright, high-quality variable white LED soft light panel. The onebytwo™ is a modern replacement for traditional soft sources used in TV studios, live broadcast, film, and photographic applications.
Highly efficient and natively single-source, the onebytwo™ offers variable Color Temperature between 2,800K and 6,000K, and has an output of up to 13,900 lumens. The extremely high quality, diffused light is matched by a superbly smooth dimming intensity gradation. Convection cooling provides quiet operation for studio applications.https://www.aclighting.com/
AC Lighting showed the new Chroma-Q Studio Force II range of fixtures. These fixtures represent an evolution of the Chroma-Q Studio Force fixtures by incorporation the homogenized optics from the Chroma-Q Color Force II series of fixtures with a new LED package. The fixtures utilize Chroma-Q’s proprietary ColorSure system to ensure fixtures within the same product range provide consistent output regardless of when they are manufactured. This process involves a complex range of processes for selecting (binning) individual LED emitters; calibrating LED light engines in-house to a uniform standard and sophisticated firmware and software ensures exceptional fixture to fixture consistency. Available in 1, 4, and 6-foot lengths the fixtures provide variable white light output from 2,800-6500K with +2/-2 green adjustment and a CRI of up to 94. Output is 6,500; 2400; and 3600 lumens respectively. The red, green, blue, and white emitters which make up the LED array can also be controlled individually to provide colored light for scene setting or effects. All of the lengths have a native beam angle of 22 degrees which can be modified to 43 degrees with the optional border lens and to an 80 degree by 35-degree asymmetrical beam with the optional cyc optic. The fixtures offer onboard control via a rear-mounted touch screen as well as remote control via DMX/ RDM and wireless control using optional LumenRadio. When controlled via DMX, a control channel enables switching between the variable white and color modes without needing to access the fixture. The fixtures can also be sub-divided to allow different sections of the overall fixture to be controlled separately and the design of the housing and mounting is such that fixtures can be lined up end to end with no gap for a continuous appearance. The compact form factor (less than 7.5” x 9” square in height and depth) will make these fixtures are a good choice for spaces with low trims and their comparatively narrow beam angle will allow for a relatively longer throw than other variable white/ color mixing fixtures. http://www.chroma-q.com/

Airstar, a leading provider of inflatable structures and lighting balloons for the event industry, announced the enhancement of its successful Crystal range with the launch of two brand new innovative products – Sunshade and Crystal White 50k lum – at the 2016 LDI Show.
Following a successful pilot test at music festivals in France this summer, Airstar introduces Sunshade to the Crystal range: a large lighting umbrella which transforms the Crystal lighting balloon technology into a new envelope shape. Measuring 2.2 or 2.6 meters in diameter, it features the same RGB LED lights that can be found on the Crystal balloons and is DMX controllable.
In addition to Sunshade, Airstar introduced the Crystal White 50k lumen lighting balloons (available in 130cm, 160cm, and 200cm diameter), which feature innovative LED lamps enabling eight times less power consumption versus halogen technology for the same luminous intensity. In addition, the LED lamps boast a lifetime of 50,000 hours vs 300 hours for halogen.
Crystal White 50k lum is also dimmable, with options including cold white, warm white or daylight that is fully DMX controllable. The Crystal White features an extremely quiet fan to cool the LED engine and is flicker free (tested up to 150 frames per second) making it suitable for use at broadcast events
The Sunshade is currently shipping while the Crystal White 50k lumens will be available worldwide on 7th November 2016.www.airstar-light.us
Cinestar is the newest addition to the Airstar family. It has been designed with versatility in mind. Cinestar is fully dimmable, with easy to use bicolor temperature controls. It features a low-profile body and is completely portable, making it the perfect lighting choice for studio, stage, and set applications. Cinestar allows for fast set up (just 15 minutes), and even though it's 5' wide when inflated it is easily transportable because it compacts down into a small case and weighs around 26 pounds. While other Airstar units like the Crystal have been used for area, event and sometimes on sets the Cinestar is the first content creation dedicated lighting balloon that uses Airstars flicker-free "Dynamic White" LED technology with a bi-color LED array with 2700K to6500K with a high CRI of 96 that uses 850 watts. http://airstar-light.us/
Altman – This year’s Altman booth was built around their core LED products. Spectra Cycs and Chalice units provided wash and down light accents. New to the booth this year were a few notable products which include the Altman PHX1 150w, the Pegasus, and the recently released Gallery series fixtures. The Altman PHX1 150w is the convection cooled version of the PHX2 250w. For those environments where fan noise is a deal breaker, the PHX1 150w solves this issue. The unit is available in all the same configurations as the PHX2 (RGBA, RGBW, 3k, 5k, 3k/5k variable) and with the same options for 5, 10, 19, 26, 36 and 50 degree barrels. The light output is comparable to slightly less than a HPL575 source. Speaking of the HPL lamp, did you know you can convert many of your older Altman fixtures including the 65Q to an HPL source? If you have Altman fixtures that you would like to change over to HPL lamps, contact your Barbizon sales person to check if there is a retrofit kit available for your fixture. For those who missed the Pegasus Fresnel last year, it was on display again this year. The Pegasus is a truly versatile fixture with its 15-85 degree zoom and ability to function as either a mains dim or DMX dim unit. The Pegasus is available in 2700k, 3000k, 4000k and 5000k. The 6” and 8” will take the standard 6” and 8” Fresnel accessories including barn doors and top hats that may already be in your stock. Finally, the newest fixture to the booth was the new Gallery series. Available in a profile, beam wash or flood option and the standard variations of color temperatures. The profile units come in either a 15-35 degree or 25-50 degree zoom. The Gallery series provides a sleeker looking fixture for those museum or upscale architectural projects.
