Arri Lighting

Arri skypanel fw4The Arri Booth was a buzz this year following the success of the Sky Panel products. At the core of the Sky Panel’s success is the Firmware, which offers a variety of features that can be used by professional’s every sector of the entertainment market. New for this year Firmware version 4.0 extends the capabilities.

SkyPanel Firmware updates are all about adding versatility and control - harnessing the awesome power of the SkyPanel and putting that potential into the hands of the gaffer, lighting designer, or programmer. SkyPanel Firmware 4 takes this ability to new heights. Packed with ten new features, SkyPanel Firmware 4 expands the capabilities of the SkyPanel like never before and offers refined levels of control.

Every SkyPanel is made up of one or more light engines. The S60 has two light engines while the S360 has twelve light engines. SkyPanel Firmware 4 allows the user to control individual light engines via new DMX modes. Each light engine acts as its own mini SkyPanel with parameters like CCT & RGBW, HSI, or x,y Coordinates. This precise level of control enables new programming possibilities with the SkyPanel.

Arri has also added new effects and enhanced the existing effects.

Ayrton / Morpheus

Morpheus the exclusive US distributor of Ayrton products revved up their digital lighting portfolio with number of additions.

magicpanel-fx-cMAGICPANEL-FX is an exciting new multi-function luminaire with a front face comprised of a 5x5 array of squared lenses designed to create 2D and 3D effects. A 15:1 optical zoom system with no visible external moving parts creates variable beam angles from 3.5° to 52°. These zoom optics are capable of projecting everything from tight shafts of light to a wide wash, and produce a solid beam of light that “squares off” as it separates into a stunning patchwork of colors. This flexible unit can be used for pixel mapping, as a powerful special effects projector, and as a wash light.

MAGICBURST Ayrton’s spinning 240,000 lumen strobe is the industry’s first high-power graphic LED strobe with continuous, unlimited rotation on both pan and tilt axes. The 15”x15” face supports 3,840 high-output white LEDs grouped into 64 pixels in an 8 x 8 matrix. The strobe duration, speed and intensity of each 60-LED pixel can be individually controlled to create brilliant and breathtaking stroboscopic effects and graphic arrays. A library of fixed images and pre-programmed dynamic effects are accessible from fixture memory. With a new, state-of-the-art ultra-compact, 1,300-watt power supply, MagicBurst delivers peak light output of over 240,000 lumens – perfectly calibrated at 5600K - for a duration of several seconds.

MAGICDOT-XT is a larger version of the award-winning MAGICDOT-R, which scales the beam diameter up and narrows it down. The fixture is equipped with Ayrton's new, proprietary 5" diameter optic that projects an impressive 2º beam with a center-beam intensity of 580,000 candelas.

MAGICDOT-SX is an optically evolved, multipurpose variant of the highly acclaimed MAGICDOT-R with the same form factor and dimensions, featuring ultra-fast beam movement and continuous unlimited rotation on pan and tilt. The fixture is equipped with a revolutionary new 8:1 optical zoom that has a fixed transmitting lens, no visible moving parts and a range of 5° to 40°. The short-stroke of the MAGICDOT-SX zoom system allows the fixture to switch from intense beam mode to sweeping wash mode virtually instantaneously.
