AAdynTech by Sturdy Corp

AAdyntech has expanded its line of fixtures with the new Punch and JAB Quad panels. At 278,000 Lumens (wow!), the Punch Quad has a 36” x 24” aperture. It has the equivalent output of four of its popular Punch fixture and is IP65 rated, all in a single soft panel configuration. The JAB Quad is a smaller version with a 24” x 18” aperture. Both fixtures have variable white color temperature control from 2800K to 6000K with Plus/Minus green correction. They are also RDM and wired and wireless DMX capable. These fixtures are excellent for slow-motion photography as they are flicker-free up to 260,000 fps along with dimming. You can power them with 100/277VAC-50/60HZ. These fit a wide range of production needs and are very well built. They dominate the sports lighting category for interviews and outdoor weather temporary set-ups and compete with HMIs with one-tenth the power required.

Cineo

Cineo Standard 410Cineo has added yet another powerful creative tool to the lighting professional’s arsenal – the Standard 410. This fixture won theTV Technology “Best in Show,” adding to their already award-winning white-light quality with their innovative saturated color technology. The Standard 410 delivers up to 25,000 lumens of beautiful, easily controllable, full-gamut light. The Standard 410 boasts a substantial 2’ x 1’ diffused illuminating surface, weighing less than 29 lbs., with a maximum power of 410 watts. Creating beautiful light within an extended color gamut is only part of the story. Cineo has developed an intuitive control strategy that allows predictable, repeatable results, either using the graphical control panel or remotely with wired or built-in wireless CRMX control. The strategy is simple: four controls or four DMX channels control the entire fixture in a single mode of operation: Dim - Cineo’s Photo-Accurate Dimming™ maps the 0-100% dimming curve to actual camera stops for precise output control using the MASTER control locally or on the first DMX channel. CCT – For color-accurate white light, choose the CCT as you would with any Cineo fixture using the CCT rotary control or the second DMX channel. Saturation - controls the amount of saturated color to be added to the white light, from full white to fully saturated color, managed on the third DMX channel. Hue - To optionally add saturated color, the HUE control adjusts the hue, the color of which is displayed on the control panel, or managed on the fourth DMX channel. With the Standard 410, the same color shading can be achieved regardless of the CCT used for photography. For example, +2 Green added to 3200K CCT will look the same as +2 Green at 5600K to the correctly white-balanced camera.

Cineo

Lightblade LB Edge Series

NBCUniversal, in partnership with Cineo, has re-designed the ultimate creative lighting tools for Motion Picture and Broadcast:  the LightBlade Edge modular fixtures.

Individual Blades are the key component to the modular LightBlade Edge fixtures.  At 24″ (610mm) or 48″ (1.2m) wide by 2 1/2″ (64mm) deep, the individual LightBlades bring you both versatility and a low profile footprint that can efficiently and discreetly light even the darkest and tightest corners of your set.

Each individual LightBlade can operate as a stand-alone fixture, with internal AC power supply, control electronics with DMX and Local control.  Combining superior white light with innovative full-gamut saturated color technology, a single LightBlade delivers up to 5,000 lumens at an 80-watt power draw.  Both 24″ and 48″ LightBlades are the most powerful linear lighting engines on the market.

The LightBlade Edge fixtures offer a unique modular design.  LightBlades are integrated into the mounting system to create the Edge 160 (2-Blade) and Edge 320 (4-Blade) fixtures, delivering 10,000 or 20,000 lumens.  The LightBlades in the Edge fixture can be set to operate as an integrated light source, or they can operate independently for dynamic lighting effects.

The LightBlade Edge modular fixtures offer the simplicity of a complete lighting fixture with the flexibility of individual LightBlade control.

Lightblade LB800

Introducing the Lightblade LB800™, the latest professional lighting tool from NBCUniversal® and Cineo Lighting™.  The LB800 represents the latest technological advances within the Lightblade product line, with new features and even greater flexibility.

Like all LightBlade fixtures, the LB800 uses proprietary phosphor-converted white light LEDs, as well as phosphor-converted saturated color LEDs. These work together to create a balanced, natural-looking spectrum. The saturated color LEDs use the exact same dies as the white LEDs, so all light emitting elements of the LightBlade products carry identical thermal stability and perform over time with consistent color quality.

Additional features include support of both 8-bit and 16-bit DMX data, as well as multiple color space personalities.

Controlling the color space for each zone can be accomplished in either HSI + CCT mode, or RGB + CCT. The LB800 can store and recall multiple fixture settings for quick access to frequently used lighting parameters.

For dynamic lighting effects, the LB800 can be configured in 10 independent zones, with complete DMX/RDM control over each zone. For advanced use, all parameters for each zone are completely configurable via RDM.

The LB800 includes the same intuitive graphical user interface as the LB1K and Cineo Standard 410 delivering predictable, repeatable results. The fixture can be controlled locally or remotely with wired or built-in wireless CRMX control.

Dedolight

Dedolight brought their range of studio and field LED fixtures to NAB this year. Their focusing fixtures include the stand or camera mounted Turbo series in tungsten, daylight or bicolor, the DLED2, and the DLED4. If you need LED panel lights, they have the Felloni panel and the DLEDRama in different sizes and configurations. The larger fixtures are DMX controlled and are at home in the studio or in the field. Most of their fixtures are available in multi-head kits with all the accessories you could possibly need. http://www.dedolight.com/

DeSisti Lighting

DeSisti showed their new SoftLED 2 XL which has replaced the remote phosphor technology used in the SoftLEDs with Fixed White chips. These new chips are adding 50% more light output than their predecessors while retaining CRIs greater than 96 and TLCIs of 97.5. I was told that Lighting Designers had requested DeSisti to add a longer fixture with a larger surface area. It’s nice to know they listened and acting on those suggestions. The SoftLED 2 XL uses the same power as the SoftLED 4 but is 20% brighter. On another note, the Piccoletto joins the DeSisti line of Variable White Fresnels (2700K - 6500K). This is their 300W tungsten equivalent.

Draco Broadcast - APARO

Dracast has revealed an attractive and round soft light under it's Aparo brand dubbed the “Luna.” Based on the existing Silk Ray, these fixtures will come in larger sizes with a very narrow profile (at just over ½ an inch). Edge-mount LED’s point inward while a distribution panel creates a soft, 180 degree beam spread. According to Dracast, this technology mimics ambient light by eliminating hot spots and hard shadows. Available in either bicolor or daylight, this fixture will be ideal for portrait photography due to the exceptional softness and wrap it creates around the subject. https://www.aparolight.com/ https://www.dracobroadcast.com
