Otello 8 Full Spectrum

The Otello 8 Full Spectrum is a fully motorized zoom Fresnel. It has 20-bit color mixing through 6 colors: red, green, blue, cyan, lime, and amber. Color temperature control from 27K to 65K and an average CRI of 95. The fixture boasts 16-bit dimming with 4 dim curves that can be selected digitally. The motorized zoom capabilities allow for a range from 14 to 84 degrees. Green-Magenta adjustment, flicker-free operation, and 4 different fan settings, (low, auto, studio and DMX control) round out the key features of this versatile lighting fixture.  Also available in Tungsten, Daylight and Variable White.

Otello 6 VariWhite

Available in Tungsten, Daylight or Full Spectrum, The Otello 6 VW will have a color temperature range of 2800K to 6500K with an average CRI of > 94.  The motorized zoom will allow beam control from 14 to 81 degrees. Thanks to HD electronics, the smooth 16-bit dimmer is processed at 20-bit. It will also have the same guaranteed flicker-free operation and fan settings, (low, auto, studio, DMX control) as the Otello 8.

ReLite LED HD

The ReLite LED HD is a replacement LED, designed to retrofit 1K and 2K traditional incandescent fixtures. It has an internal microprocessor and HD electronics that allow for customization. The ReLite comes in fixed white at either 3200K or 5600K with a CRI of 90. Smooth dimming from 10% to 100% using traditional triac AC or IGBT dimmers. You can utilize your existing incandescent fixtures and reduce power consumption by over 90% with almost no heat generated. And longer lamp life means no relamping issues. It is also flicker free for TV and Broadcast installations.

ReLite Kit

Designed to retrofit every old halogen fixture, the ReLite Kit is an LED source that can be controlled not only from traditional triac AC or IGBT dimmers but also by DMX. Comprised of an external power supply and LED source, the ReLite kit will have improved light output compared to the standard ReLite versions, will be available in tungsten, daylight or variable white, from 2700K to 6500K and a CRI of 90 to >95. The kit boasts smooth 16 bit dimming with no color shift when dimming and the same power savings and flicker-free operation as the original ReLite LED.

Dedolight USA

Dedo was back at NAB with a series of fan-less LED focusable fixtures like the LEDZilla and their 20/40/and 90-watt units. However, none were newly released since 2018. Dedo is looking to update their line of non-LED fixtures but are working hard trying to make the efficiency to be equivalent as their halogen predecessors.

DeSisti SoftLED

DeSisti also was showing their popular led Softlight series. The newly designed DeSisti SOFT LED are available in color-tunable variable white and fixed white with Remote Phosphor. Fixtures are available in various sizes based on your needs and ceiling heights.

Desisti Space Light Prototype

Desisti showed a Prototype Space Light they hope to release later this year. The fixture will use the same driver found in their Soft Series, will have variable White capabilities, and at 340 Watts, boast a 6K equivalent.

Draco Broadcast

At 5.5 lb, the LED1000 Pro Bi-Color LED Light with V-Mount Battery Plate from Dracast is an ideal choice for location work, interviews and small sets where color accuracy, control, and flicker-free output are of major importance. The 95 CRI variable color temperature from 3200-5600K or anywhere in between means that you can quickly match the prevailing ambient or artificial light balance with a simple twist of a knob while others are still applying filters. Dimming is equally convenient via another knob that adjusts the light intensity from 100-0% with negligible color shift. The low electrical draw of just 60W means a timely return on your investment. The durable aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8″ receiver. The LED1000 can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100-240 VAC adapter or by optional V-Mount 14.8V batteries. Accessories include optional 4-way barn doors for contouring and control of the LED1000’s 45-degree beam angle. A carry case is included.

Fiilex

Fiilex's Matrix II RGBW brings full-color control to Fiilex's Matrix line of soft-source LED punch lights. The Dense Matrix LEDs in the Matrix II RGBW boast multi-wavelength color groups. Other manufacturers have single chips in their array representing a hue range. Fiilex has designed its array with multiple custom chips covering a specific hue. Each chip outputs a specific portion of the hue wavelength and when combined produces a broader and deeper range of hue than other fixtures can produce.

RGBW fixture draws 320W of power and produces an output greater than a 1K tungsten soft light. This output is generated by the four Dense Matrix LED clusters that are set into a custom-designed reflecting chamber and enclosed by a layer of diffusion. With its four LED sources, the Matrix supports additional optics and accessories that can easily reshape the fixture’s illumination. The fixture is compatible with light banks from Chimera as well as DoP Choice when using thespeed ringaccessory. It can also be used as a front-focused light with the optionalQuad-Fresnel, which increases beam intensity by 3x. The Matrix is also available in an alternate Tunable White model.

The interesting aspect is that Fiilex was showing a frame that takes 4 of the Matrix II fixture and makes a quad large format fixture. More on that below from No Film School.
