Fiilex

matrixWith the Matrix light, Fiilex brings its LED expertise into the realm of panel lighting. The Matrix leverages Fiilex's Dense-Matrix technology by fusing multiple sources into a single panel-style fixture. The result combines the broad, diffuse throw of a panel with the power and controllability of a point source. Engineered with modularity in mind, the 1500W-equivalent Matrix works excellently on its own or grouped in an array of multiple lights.

The Matrix is built to easily accommodate various light-shaping accessories. To further soften its output, there's the specially-designed Matrix Softbox. This unique softbox does away with the speed ring by attaching directly to the Matrix fixture via rod mounts. Alternatively, users looking for a greater punch can focus in the light with the Matrix Fresnel Lens, which clips simply into place, tripling intensity. The Matrix also features Fiilex's professional-grade tuning options, which include full dimmability, color tunability from 2800 to 6500K, and hue control. With the Matrix, Fiilex users can complement their single source Q and P series lights with the gorgeous, broad throw of a uniquely versatile top-tier panel fixture.

German Light Products (GLP)

BLP GT-1The GT-1 from GLP is a true hybrid fixture incorporating an optical design that doesn’t require different ‘modes’ to activate Spot, Beam, and Wash characteristics, so all feature functionality is available at any time. The GT-1 uses a high powered 470 Watt discharge lamp and features an impressive 22:1 ratio zoom range from 2.5° to 55°. Other features include wireless DMX control, full 16-bit pan and tilt movement, full range dimming and shuttering capability, an installed battery for fixture setup, auto-sensing power supply all weighing in at only 55 lbs

As a spot, the GT-1 offers a wide range of effects, including CMY color mixing, eight rotating gobos, 14 fixed pattern gobos, additional beam reduction gobos, and a variable speed animation wheel that can be repositioned within the beam, three different rotating prisms, and a fixed color wheel with CTO/CTB filters.

Looking for a beam? the GT-1 produces a parallel beam of light at 2.5° through its large 145mm diameter front lens, which remains bright and consistent over long distances. For a wash, the GT-1 produces a soft edged beam from a variable filter that can be inserted into the beam to give the desired level of wash that you wish.

GLP X4 AtomLDI saw the release of the upgraded 30 Watt version of their popularX4 atomfixture. Adding a new high power 30WRGBW LED source into the unit has doubled its brightness, and created greater optical efficiencies. The unit offers a 9 to 1 ratio zoom that goes from a wide 34° wash down to a tight 3.5° beam for pinpoint accuracy and great mid-air effects.

When a single X4 atom just isn’t enough, a fast interlock system allows fixtures to easily be coupled together. The standard yoke is removed for quick assembly of pairs, quads, lines and grids of fixtures in any configuration that you need. The X4 atom runs from an external power supply, with a 6-way and a 12-way option available that feeds fixtures via an industry standard 4-pin XLR cable.

Green Hippo

Green Hippo was highlighting partnerships providing new tools to improve the use of their media servers in live video processing and content creation as well as tools for video distribution.

green-hippo-_-notchNotch by 10bit FX allows the for creation and modification of live video effects and interactive elements using combinations of “nodes” within their software. Nodes are defined as, “small, simple building blocks, connectedtogether logically and intuitively.” Use for live events is enhanced by the ability to control node parameters via the lighting desk or media server in real-time.

Smode by D/Labs is a, “real-time compositing and generative content engine technology,” designed to reduce the time required by the traditional render, test, edit, re-render, re-test, etc… workflow. Using Smode, content is rendered live as it is tested/ viewed allowing for a much faster process if changes are needed.atapath was highlighting their Fx4 wall display controller designed to allow easy distribution of 4k input to multiple output devices. The Fx4 has (4) genlocked outputs with either DisplayPort or HDMI connectors. Inputs are (1) DisplayPort1.2 main and (2) HDMI1.4 offering 4k 4096x2160p at 60 fps or UHD 2160p at 30 fps respectively. The hardware allows for cropping, scaling, rotation, and frame-rate conversion to map any region of the input to each output.

High End Systems

High End Quad LuminaireQuad & Hex further expand on the Uno and Shapeshifter technology by combining the two! The quad uses 4 Uno LED engines (RGBW) to create aerial effects. All 4 cells offer the ability to be individually controlled as well as X,Y controls of each cell. The Hex also uses the LED engines from the Uno but has six mounted in a linear fashion. Both units contain and Indigo Backlighter, while the Hex has a zoom range of 3.5 Degrees to 40 Degrees the Hex is 3.5 degrees to 70 degrees. Also on the floor was new software for the Hog lineup that allows integration with Lightware allowing for communications between both product lines, making for simpler setup of AV and lighting integration.
