ETC featured several new control products. Built from the award winning EOS control platform, the new ION control console includes scalable channel counts, ACN connectivity, and detachable submaster fader wings. Complete control of conventional and automated devices is comfortably packed into a 19" footprint for use in even the smallest booth or rack space. ION can be used as a stand-alone desk, or as a client for a larger EOS system. For more manual control, ION can be connected via USB cable or hard connected to optional Fader Wings, available in 1x20, 2x210, or 2x20 formats. A NET3 RFR Radio Remote Focus unit, capable of working on any of 12 frequencies with 99 channels each, allows wireless remote control of many of the console's features from a handheld device. Need to coordinate lighting cues with time codes or other devices. The new ETC Net3 Show Control Gateway distributes MIDI and SMPTE throughout your Net3 lighting system. Put the Gateway where the source is to reduce cabling, and add more sources and Gateways as your system requires. Also new this year was SmartSoft, a software based monitor output for the SmartFade ML, ETC's economy-priced, user friendly automated lighting console. SmartSoft works as both an off-line editor and real-time monitor output. SmartSoft is free on ETC's website.
