National Director of Systems
Brian attended Brooklyn College where he studied Theatrical lighting design, Technical Theatre, and Production and Stage Management. He has served as lighting and sound tech for two national theatre tours. He was the Production Manager in charge of all technical aspects at Queens Theatre in the park for seven years.
Brian has worked for Barbizon Electric for over 10 years. Five of the those years he worked in the Technical Services Department which is responsible for new system commissioning, field service, and in house bench repair. He is a fully certified factory Service Technician for Electronic Theatre Controls, Genlyte’s Entertainment Technologies, and High End Systems. He also has extensive technical experience with products such as ETC, Strand, Altman, Arri, Mole Richardson, Vari-Lite, Rosco, Wybron, Kino Flo and many others.
In August 2005 Brian moved into the Project Management Department. As the Senior Project Manager Brian would take on all new projects that had complex lighting systems as well as subcontracted labor. Recent projects that he managed include 7 World Trade Center, King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and the David H. Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center.
In September 2010 Brian was promoted to Systems Division Manager. In his new role, he is in charge of three departments within the Division; Sales, Project Management and Technical Services. Having extensive knowledge in all three departments this is a perfect role for Brian.
